We had a T-fal fry pan with the 2 short handles that we used all the time. We liked that it was easier to store than a traditional long handled pan. After it finally wore out we tried to find another without any luck. We then came across this Caldero. While its not really a fry pan, it actually has worked out better as its more versatile. We are also going to be getting the larger version as well.

This is a great addition to my t-fal collection. I love the color, I love the large size, I love that it is dishwasher and oven safe - I can't ask for more!
Sure, for a single piece of cookware, the price is a little high - but after using it, I really feel that it is a great buy and worth every penny. I've had a regular pot and pan set for 2 years and I've always felt like it was lacking something - something that isn't as large as a stock pot but something that is larger than a regular stir fry pan. I like to make meals that I can either freeze or eat multiple times in a week to avoid having to cook the same thing over and over again. This is a great size - I can cook so many different things with it and not have to worry about not having enough space. I also love that it comes with a great lid and handles - perfect for making my cooking much easier.
As for the quality - I think it's fantastic, honestly. The color is bright red and vibrant, the lid fits on perfectly, food cooks evenly, and everything comes out perfect.
If you are in need of a large, deep pan with a lid - I can't suggest a better option. I am so glad that I finally put out the money and bought this! I couldn't be happier with the results.
As for longevity, I can't say how it stands up to use over the longterm. If any problems arise, I will be sure to come back and change my review to reflect those problems - as for now, I know it's cheesy, but I'm in love :)

last year, when i moved, i decided to start new with pots & pans and i threw out my old caldero in favor of some expensive copper bottom cookware. No matter what I did, that type of pot always ruined my arroz con gandules...This lightweight and non-stick caldero, which was reasonably priced, has been a godsend. I love it. I just wish it came in a slightly larger size for entertaining.
